Nate Pritts

I got my copy of Gina’s A Model Year in the mail yesterday & spent parts of last night reading it.  I guess I’ll leave it at that.  It’s a really stunning book but it’s so muted & fragile in its stunningness.  It’s a gigantic heart.  It’s like a letter telling you the kinds of things people can’t really tell you.  I feel like I’m full of 9000 miles of New York slush & I feel like I know where the heater & the blanket & the quiet apartment are - they’re right over there - but will they warm me up & is that what I really want anyway?

Here’s a more articulate review.  Gina’s a dynamite poet & by dynamite I mean something quieter & more powerful.
